National Night Out
Town of Louisa Police hosts third annual community event Aug. 6. On August 6, the Town of Louisa Police Department (LPD) will be hosting its annual “National Night Out.” The whole community is invited to Courthouse Square from 5 - 8 p.m. , with public safety and vehicle static displays, activities for kids, giveaways and refreshments. Labeled as “America’s night out against crime,” this national crime prevention initiative traditionally happens each year on the first Tuesday of August throughout the country, with the goal of enhancing the relationship between the community and law enforcement.
