WILKES-BARRE — Thirty of the top area and beyond elite high school basketball players took part in the Showcase of the Valley basketball camp at Holy Redeemer on Thursday. The camp, titled “Advance the Game,” was cohosted by Holy Redeemer’s baskeball coach, Jonathan Bilbow and professional basketball player, Mia Hopkins. Also participating in the camp were coaches Darnell Ford, MySkyElite, John Jerzorwski, Holy Redeemer head coach, Chris Shovlin, Wyoming Valley Jr. Clutch Girls AAU, Curtis Jacobsen, Loyalsock Twp. Wyoming Area Baseball sponsors summer camp
WEST PITTSTON — The Wyoming Area baseball program held a three-day summer camp at the varsity baseball stadium. Eighty players took part in this year’s camp led by the varsity coaching staff, current and former players under the Warrior program. According to Warrior baseball Head Coach Rob Lemoncelli, the seventh annual camp was the largest to date.

LEWISBURG, Pa. – After a 19-year absence, NCAA Division I men's basketball is returning to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area as Bucknell and Siena have agreed to play a neutral-site game at Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza on Saturday evening, Nov. 30. The Lackawanna County Visitors Bureau and Geisinger are the presenting sponsors for the game. Tickets will go on sale at a date to be announced.
