During the rescue efforts, which happened near an RTD Park-n-Ride at 88th Avenue and Interstate 25 at around 5:15 p.m., Thornton FD told FOX31 that crews made verbal contact with the person.
By 6 p.m. the fire department said the person was successfully rescued and was taken to a hospital.
