Weapons detection system to be used at Cape High football games
A new electronic weapons detection system will be used to screen attendees of Cape High football games beginning with the home opener Friday, Sept. 20. At the Aug. 22 school board meeting, Supervisor of Student Services & Equity Initiatives Luis Cosme said the dual-lane system is more efficient than traditional metal detectors. Ben Franklin 26 Overbrook 16: The Electrons got a rushing score from Jr. RB Tyree Nichols, Sr. QB Samir Smith, & Jr. RB Tae Wiggins. Sr. WR David Winchester capped off the scoring with a TD reception from Samir. Tae also notched an interception in the win. For Brook Jr. Isaiah Carter rushed for over 100 yards & a score.
