July 12 & 13: Sci-Tech Free Observing Session

Sci-Tech will hold two free observing sessions, one on Friday, July 12, at 9 p.m. and the other on Saturday, July 13 at 9:30 p.m.

The Friday, July 12, session will be held at Wellesley Island State Park in the “H” section camping loop, on the road to the Minna Anthony Nature Center – that’s at 44927 Cross Island Road, Fineview, NY 13640.

The Saturday, July 13 session will be held at Thousand Island Park, which is also on Wellesley Island. This event will be set up on the lawn near the gazebo, behind the Thousand Island Park Library, that’s at 42743 St. Lawrence Avenue, Thousand Island Park, NY.

In the event of overcast skies and poor weather, the astronomy night will be canceled, and a message will be placed on the Sci-Tech astronomy telephone line at 315-788-2738.
