Then, the city sweeps the encampment again, and they get to come back to the shelter for another 30 days, Prosser explained. This process can repeat multiple times.

Once taken into rescue, it was determined that though they were sisters, they were not pair-bonded. Since then, Millie's sister has been adopted, but Millie has been waiting for almost nine months. She hopes she will not have to wait much longer.
