More scattered showers today, dry and sunny this weekend
Michiana starts today with low visibility across almost the entire area thanks to a combination of post-rain fog and post-fireworks smoke. While most of the fog should mix out and dissipate by 8-9 AM, some areas could still be hazy through the late morning hours. Scattered showers are expected to develop around 7-8 AM with a slight thunderstorm risk and dissipate within a few hours. The middle of the day will likely remain mostly dry as highs climb to the low 80s, but the chance for more showers picks back up during the late afternoon/early evening hours. The second round of rain later in the day has a better chance of seeing an isolated thunderstorm or two due to surface heating. Brief downpours are possible in any showers/storms today, but otherwise impacts remain low. Quieter conditions follow tonight with lows back in the low 60s, setting up a quiet and seasonable weekend filled with sunnier skies.
