George West ISD School Board receives $20,000 donation from Parent Volunteer Group
The George West ISD School Board met on July 17 for their regular meeting, with money being a major focus of the meeting. The George West Parent Volunteer Group, represented by President Mariza Robinson and Vice-President Elle Muniz, provided the board with a generous cash donation of $20,000 for the primary and elementary schools. This group, established in Jan. 2024, recently held a successful Designer Bag Bingo event to raise funds. Board President Scott Carroll expressed gratitude to the Parent Volunteer Group and stated, "We have a great community. Thanks to all who contributed."
