Lackawanna College Brings Medical Students to NEPA
Today, Lackawanna College proudly announces its partnership with the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM), the City of Scranton and several regional healthcare organizations to launch the Northeast Pennsylvania Clinical Education Consortium (NEPCEC). The first group of nine medical students from two different Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine began their clinical rotations in Scranton on July 1, 2024. Next year’s group is already projected to increase to 20 students.
Pennsylvania Universities Co-Host Cyber Camp for High Schoolers
(TNS) — The Sul Ross State University Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Department, in partnership with the University of Scranton-Pennsylvania, offered a Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes Investigation Camp for area high school students in Alpine July 9-11. Through hands-on, active learning experiences and lessons by both university professors and professionals working in the field of cyber intelligence and cybersecurity, 13 students from Alpine, Fort Davis, Marfa, Del Rio, Presidio, Terlingua and students from Scranton schools, with whom the Alpine campers collaborated, had a unique opportunity to explore possible career paths in this emerging, dynamic and in-demand sector.

King’s College officials hope to secure a $1.4 million state grant to help fund a downtown streetscape project along North Main Street in Wilkes-Barre.
