    The National Weather Service (NWS) in Gaylord reports a slight chance of thunderstorms late this evening and overnight in eastern Upper Michigan and far northeast Lower Michigan. While thunderstorms may occur, they are not expected to be severe, and no hazardous weather is anticipated beyond potential lightning and brief heavy rain.

    High Swim Risk Possible on Monday for Lake Michigan Beaches

    Looking ahead, the NWS warns of a high swim risk on Monday for some Lake Michigan beaches in northwest Lower Michigan. Dangerous waves and strong currents could pose significant risks to swimmers. Beachgoers are advised to be cautious and avoid swimming in areas where high swim risk warnings are in place.
