Hungry Bear to Reopen at Disneyland with New Food and Theming!

Disneyland's Critter Country will soon offer a new dining experience as the Hungry Bear restaurant undergoes a transformation. The restaurant, located near the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride and the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, will be rebranded as the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree. The revamped menu will focus on barbecue dishes and will feature music from the beloved Country Bears, a nod to the attraction that was a park fixture from 1972 to 2001.

According to the Disney Parks blog, the menu, developed under the guidance of Chef John State, Disneyland Resort's culinary director, will include traditional barbecue favorites such as a platter plate with baked beans, house slaw, white bread, and pickles. Other offerings include a plant-based corn rib plate topped with chile-lime aioli, and a pulled pork and beef burger with American cheese, pickled red onions, and crispy onions.

For dessert, guests can enjoy banana pudding, along with unique flavors of lemonade.

Despite its Country Bear inspiration, the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree will not be a character dining location.

The opening date for the restaurant has not yet been announced, but it is part of the broader revamp of Critter Country, where Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open on November 15, replacing Splash Mountain.
