Shake Shack, the popular New York City-born restaurant is building a bigger presence in the South Bay with two new locations. According to a Shake Shack press release, one of the new Shake Shacks will be in the Westgate area on Saratoga Avenue, where a former Men’s Wearhouse building is being turned into a restaurant. The other location will be at Bascom Square, near the Campbell city border, in a space previously occupied by Boston Market.

According to a Shake Shack press release, the locations are expected to open later this year. These will add to the two Bay Area Shake Shacks that opened last December, one at Oakridge Mall in South San Jose and another at the Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco.

Shake Shack began as a hot-dog cart in a New York City park and is now famous for its all-natural Angus beef burgers. The menu also includes beef hot dogs, cage-free chicken sandwiches, crinkle-cut French fries, and hand-spun milkshakes.

To celebrate the summer, Shake Shack is offering a deal at all Bay Area locations: customers can get a free shake every Friday through September 6 when they spend $10. The offer can be redeemed online, through the app, or at the in-store kiosks using the code SWEETSPOT.
