MSP: Small plane crashed into water on Eastern Shore

Talbot County Garden Club hosted a lemonade social at Scotts United Methodist Church in Trappe on June 16 to celebrate the success of the 2024 Talbot County Tour of the Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage. Woman Critical, Man Stable After Being Shot Inside Calvert County Home, Sheriff Says
Deputies were called shortly after 9:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 14 to the 1600 block of Mint Court in Prince Frederick, where there were reports of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, members of the Calvert County Sheriff's office found a man with a gunshot wound to a leg and a woman was hit several times in her upper body.
Pilot killed in small plane crash in Easton identified
EASTON, Md. — Emergency rescue crews responded to the area of the Tred Avon River in Easton for a small plane crash Tuesday morning. The pilot, identified as 56-year-old Robert Eugene Merlini from Annapolis, has since died. Merlini was the only person onboard when the small plane crashed in the Tred Avon River.
Anne Arundel County warns public of rabid racoon found in Davidsonville
DAVIDSONVILLE, Md. — The Anne Arundel County Health Department is looking for anyone who may have come in contact with a rabid raccoon that was found in Davidsonville. According to the notice, the area of concern is on Governor Bridge Road between Riva Road and St. George Barber Road. The raccoon was found on July 15 and has tested positive for rabies.
