WILKES-BARRE — Luzerne County President Judge Michael T. Vough sentenced Jamaree “Chicago” Henson, 41, to five to 10 years in state prison for peddling heroin and fentanyl and endangering the welfare of children.

Henson was arrested by police in Hanover Township, Newport Township, Nanticoke City and the Luzerne County Drug Task Force when a search warrant was served at his residence on Robert Street, Newport Township, on Feb. 22, 2021, according to court records.

The search warrant involved a drug investigation.

A search of the residence turned up a large amount of marijuana, marijuana oil, a cigarette pack containing fentanyl packets, Fruity Pebbles bars, graham bars and gummy candies shaped in bears and hearts laced with marijuana, court records say.

Court records say the edible candies and bars were found inside a drawer and refrigerator inside the home occupied by three children all under the age of 10.

Henson was sentenced on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and child endangerment. He pled guilty to the charges June 24.
