    Wichita Falls man killed in motorcycle crash

    A Wichita Falls man was killed in a wreck involving a motorcycle and a pickup Wednesday afternoon.

    Police said officers were called to the scene at the intersection of Wellington Lane and Iowa Park Road at 4:29 p.m.

    They found the rider of z Harley-Davidson motorcycle dead at the scene. He was identified as Timothy Boyd, 56.

    Sgt. Charlie Eipper, Wichita Falls police spokesperson, said in a press release that officers determined the 78-year-old man driving the pickup was northbound on Wellington Lane and Boyd was traveling east bound on Iowa Park Road.

    The pickup stopped at the stop sign at the intersection and then drove across the intersection and was struck on the driver's side by the motorcycle. The driver was the only occupant of the pickup and was not injured.

    Police said Boyd was not wearing a helmet.

    This crash is still under investigation.
