Drug counselor Alion Anthony Mansfield of Kitsap County has been suspended for a Halloween escapade with a patient, the Washington State Department of Health reported on Thursday.

In April, the Secretary of Health suspended Mansfield's agency-affiliated counselor, substance use disorder professional trainee, and substance use disorder professional licenses for at least five years, the DOH reports.

According to the DOH's investigation, Mansfield began treating a female patient at Consejo Counseling from May of 2022 through February of 2023, during which time he allegedly began flirtatiously texting her and sharing his home address.

Mansfield allegedly began a sexual relationship with the patient after he invited her to his home on Oct. 31, 2022, according to the DOH.

The patient reported her and Mansfield's relationship to a Consejo Counseling supervisor on Feb. 16, 2023, and Mansfield was fired from the clinic on Feb. 24, 2023, the DOH reports.

Before petitioning for reinstatement, Mansfield must pay a $1,000 fine and pass an ethics course, according to the DOH.
