Timpson ISD approves new teachers for 2024 school year

The Timpson ISD School Board members present were Cody Beckham, President; Justin Timmons, Vice President; Tammy Sparks, Secretary; Dr. Mid Johnson, superintendent; Joyce Wolfe, Board Member; and Levi Cohorst, Board Member.

Report and Information Items included the monthly financial report, budget totals, and the ADA number, which was 658. In the last six weeks, the ADA was 670, right at 95%. Superintendent Dr. Mid Johnson spoke about some of the options for expanding due to the student growth Timpson has had, particularly in the Elementary School, before convening for the executive session.

Items of business included the approval of minutes from the previous month’s meeting, the approval of revision of Austin Bank Signature Cards on all accounts except student fund accounts if any, personnel issues, and personnel hiring. All items were unanimously approved 5-0 by the board.

The Timpson ISD School Board approved hiring Mr. Crow as the new Timpson High School Principal, Mrs. Crow for middle school Special Education, Mrs. Sanford for seventh grade, Mrs. Williams for second grade, and Mrs. Cooley for third grade.
