    Chicken Taco Dip: The Perfect Appetizer

    Looking for a delicious dip that is filling and truly perfect for anytime? This chicken taco inspired dip is the perfect blend of chicken, refried beans, guacamole, salsa, sour cream and cheese for the perfect tex-mex appetizer. Served with warm tortilla chips, it is such an easy and affordable treat.

    Ingredients:

    • 1-8 oz can of Rotel tomatoes, (hot or mild, depending on your preference)
    • 2 cups of cooked chicken breast, seasoned and shredded
    • 16 ounces of refried beans, canned
    • 16 ounces of sour cream
    • 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning
    • 2 cup of guacamole, prepared
    • 16 ounces of Mexican blend cheese, shredded
    • Black olives, sliced and drained for topping
    • Sliced jalapenos for topping
    • Warm tortilla chips for serving

    Directions:

    • Spread the refried beans into an 8 x 8 baking pan or a pie plate.
    • Spread a layer of the guacamole over the top of the beans.
    • Next add a layer of the Rotel tomatoes, spreading carefully on top of the guacamole
    • Add the sour cream and taco seasoning into a mixing bowl and mix together until smooth and creamy, then spread over the top of the tomatoes.
    • Then layer with the shredded chicken followed by the shredded cheese, black olives, jalapenos and chopped green onions.
    • Serve with warm tortilla chips and enjoy!
