Two Tipton residents were injured in a UTV accident in Cooper County on Saturday, July 6.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as a Polaris Ranger driven by 51-year-old Chris Brauer slid and exited the right side of the road while traveling north on Conservation Drive. The UTV overturned, ejecting Brauer and a passenger in the vehicle. The vehicle struck two trees before coming to a rest on its wheels. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt or safety device.

Brauer was transported to University Hospital by MU Air Care for treatment of serious injuries. Brauer’s passenger was transported to University Hospital with moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 2:15 a.m. on Conservation Drive, just north of Wildlife Road in Cooper County.
