Trial of Kyle Ricke, man accused of killing Algona police officer, begins Monday
DICKINSON COUNTY, Iowa — The trial of a man accused of shooting and killing an Algona police officer begins Monday in Dickinson County. Kyle Ricke faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of Ofc. Kevin Cram. If convicted, Ricke would spend the rest of his life in prison.

Kyle Ricke, the defendant charged with killing Algona Police Officer Kevin Cram, was transported Sunday back to Dickinson County where he is scheduled to go on trial today. He has been held in the Hamilton County Jail awaiting his trial that was delayed due to the extensive flooding in Dickinson County.
