Milwaukee Schools to close due to excessive heat

Several schools in Milwaukee are set to close part of this week due to excessive heat.

Hot and humid temperatures in southeast Wisconsin could bring about a heat index above 100 degrees.

Schools closing and dates:

• St. Thomas Aquinas Academy in Milwaukee will close Aug. 26 and 27.
• Mary Queen of Saints Catholic Academy will close Aug 26 and 27.
• St. Charles Borromeo School will close Aug. 26 and 27.
• Northwest Catholic School will close Aug. 26 and 27.
• Our Lady Queen of Peace will close Aug. 26 and 27.
• Prince of Peace School will close Aug. 26 and 27.
• St Adalbert School will close Aug. 26 and 27.
• St Catherine School will close Aug. 26 and 27.
• St. Rafael the Archangel will close Aug. 26 and 27.
• St.Margaret Mary School will close Aug. 26 and 27.
• St. Roman School will close Aug. 26 and 27.
• St. Mary Czestochowa will close Aug. 26 and 27.
• St. Rose of Lima will close Aug. 26 and 27.
