It was just a regular season game, but it was a special one and really what High School Basketball is all about. In front of a packed house at Beecher City, the South Central Cougars and the CHBC Bobcats did battle on a Friday night in NTC Action (and it was our WKRV/I70sports Game of the Week). It was their second matchup of the season as the two teams had met in the Mulberry Grove Thanksgiving Tournament with South Central getting a 47 to 40 OT win in a really great game. But, it was not nearly the game the second one would turn out to be.

Illinois jails allegedly use restraint chairs to detain people, often violating policies: report
A nine-month investigation by the Illinois Answers Project found an alarming number of Illinois jails are torturing people using restraining chairs.Some detainees were allegedly restrained for prolonged times, causing physical injuries and psychological trauma. In hundreds of cases, jail staff used a stun gun, Taser or pepper spray in the process, leading to death in some cases.ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7.
