The University of Toledo’s College of Health and Human Sciences is holding a health professions career summer camp.

The camp will run July 16-17 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and promises the opportunity to discover the wide range of career opportunities in the health and human services professions one could attain with a University of Toledo degree. It is designed for high school students going into their sophomore, junior, or senior year.

Campers will get to explore careers in health — including health care information and administration, occupational therapy, physical therapy, public health, recreation therapy, respiratory care, social work, and speech-language pathology.

Activities will include cadaver anatomy, therapeutic activities, and simulated patient care. Participants also have the opportunity to network with current students, faculty, and alumni in these career fields, as well as explore UT’s campus with a guided tour.

The cost of the camp is $125 per person, which includes instructional materials, laboratory supplies, a T-shirt, breakfast and lunch both days, and a pizza dinner on Wednesday. Register at utoledo.edu/events/camps/ .
