    Fire at Tomah home caused by unattended toaster in kitchen

    TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) -- The Tomah Fire department has provided details about the fire on Cranberry Circle.

    According to a release, the fire was caused by a toaster that was left unattended.

    When crews arrived, they reported heavy smoke that was quickly growing. Crews were on scene for nearly 2 hours.

    The home was left with a significant amount of damage. The residents made it out of the house safely without injuries.

    Tomah Fire Chief Tim Adler wants to remind people to stay in the kitchen while cooking and to not leave appliances unattended.


    TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) -- A fire on Cranberry Circle in Tomah started in the kitchen.

    That's according to Tomah fire chief Tim Adler, who says the call came in at 8:29 a.m. Wednesday morning. Three people were inside the home at the time. No injuries were reported.

    The house suffered smoke and water damage and has been condemned, according to Chief Adler.


    TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) -- Tomah Fire Department is on the scene of a structure fire.

    According to a Facebook post from the fire department, crews are on the scene of a fire at 826 Cranberry Circle.
