Teenager in critical condition after being hit by truck in Tonawanda

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 15-year-old male is in critical condition following a traffic collision that occurred Tuesday night, according to the Town of Tonawanda Police Department.

Around 8:20 p.m., police said they responded to Woodstock Avenue and Yorkshire Road where a 15-year-old had been struck by a Ford F-250 pickup truck. He had been operating a motorized bicycle when he was struck, according to officials.

The boy was transported to Oishei Children’s Hospital and is in critical condition.

The driver of the truck, a 44-year-old Town of Tonawanda man, is cooperating with the investigation. Charges are not expected.
