DeSantis' 2024 Fate: Embrace Trump or Risk Upset?

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis cautioned that If he is not elected president in 2024, an existential crisis for the United States is set to happen.

"We are in danger of being the first generation to turn over to the next generation a country that is less free and less prosperous than the one we inherited," DeSantis said.

The once-rising Republican superstar might be facing his moment of truth soon.

As a runner-up candidate in the Republican primary, DeSantis will likely fend off the attacks directed at those whose name is not Donald Trump.

When the spotlights of the first Republican debate are turned on, everyone will be watching to see if he will shine or falter.

DeSantis' much-needed campaign reset could take place on the Milwaukee debate stage.

Trump, meanwhile, has promised to miss FOX's televised event.

Through this event, DeSantis is given a chance to regain himself to improve his declining poll numbers.

His challenge is how to win over Republican primary voters without criticizing Trump, who is leading in every significant public opinion poll.

In a leaked memo detailing a recommended debate approach written by the organization controlling the PAC that essentially supports the DeSantis campaign, the governor was instructed to support Trump.

Additionally, the document advised DeSantis to take on political novice Vivek Ramaswamy, who has gained ground in specific early state contests.

DeSantis, however, denied claims that he was informed of the contents of the strategy document.

Pursuing contenders attempting to overtake him runs the risk of raising their status among voters who are only now starting to pay attention to the race.

DeSantis has stated in interviews that he anticipates criticism from less qualified competitors who want to succeed him as the Republican challenger to Trump.

The Florida governor later derogated the former president's decision to ditch the debate.

Will DeSantis' Strategy to Embrace Trump Secure His Presidential Bid, or Could It Pave the Way for Political Upsets?
