Manchester United Yet to Receive Bid for Sancho from PSG

Manchester United have recently been linked with Paris Saint-German for the swap deal of Ugarte and Jadon Sancho. The saga has been on since the start of the summer transfer window and there are no signs of stopping it as the deal is considered to be ‘on hold’ as of the current situation. It is seemingly a situation where both, Manchester United and PSG want to proceed further with the deal. Unfortunately, the clubs have not been able to conclude yet. The transfer market remains open for Manchester United till the 30th of August.

Manchester United host Fulham at their home turf Old Trafford on the 16th of August. The rest of the month is going to be a busy one for Manchester United as the saga continues. The club is even hustling hard to sign Noussiar Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt from Bayer Munich as a duo-defensive deal.

Why is the Deal On Hold

A sense of procrastination is being depicted by both the clubs involved in the swap for Manuel Ugarte and Jadon Sancho. No talks are being held at the moment. There’s also no bid implied by Manchester United for the deal. Atletico Madrid were the ones to exit the race after making big-money moves in the form of Julian Alvarez and Conor Gallagher.

After analyzing several reports and articles that have been put out by the officials, it is reportedly observed that Manchester United will have to pay a particular amount to Parisians for the swap to take place. In other words, Manchester United will have to bear expenses in the case of the concerned transfer.

The current market value of Jadon Sancho is 32 million euros whereas Manuel Ugarte stands a bit above Sancho having attained a market value of roughly 39 million euros. Manchester United are already struggling regarding the finances and bearing an extra transfer fee could prove to be melancholy.

Considerations by Manchester United for Transfer

Jadon Sancho was sent to Borussia Dortmund on a loan basis for the second half of the 2023-2024 season. The Englishman had a great spell with the club, displaying excellent performances for the club in the UEFA Champions League. He also justified his position in the German League (Bundesliga).

Sancho appeared in the pre-season tour of the Red Devils to the United States. But his future remains uncertain on the United side. Manchester United is all stacked for the upcoming season with Marcus Rashford and Antony on the left and right wings respectively. In a situation where Sancho is not going to return to the yellow aura of Borussia Dortmund, also considering the scenario and relationships with Erik Ten Hag, his being not a part of the project concludes a likely exit from the squad.
