Jerry Jones is known for his financial power, which keeps him recognized as part of the "Billionaires Boys Club."With eighteen playoff appearances for the Cowboys since he showed up, Jones has made some incredible moves throughout the years, both for the Dallas Cowboys and for his generational wealth.

Since 1989, with his purchase of the Dallas Cowboys, he turned around what was a losing battle and poured the faith of Texas back into its heart: The Cowboys. He remarkably became the first NFL owner of his time to win three Superbowl titles in seven years. Later, Jones constructed what some believe is the epitome of a sports complex: AT&T Stadium. The man is revered in Texas for his on-and off-the-field work and donations to charities.

He looks good with his family all tucked beside him for the media. He has been married to his wife Eugina since 1963—wholesome, right? What a great man, right? Let's find out whether he is a stand-up man or if it is smoke and mirrors.

5. He is Not Polite

Jerry Jones is unhireable at any other sports team in America, nevertheless, the entire planet. He is truly out for the revenue and the ring. Nothing else matters except Texas.

Not even your mother's Sunday gravy. For years, Jerry has been pushing for an 18-game season with Roger Goodell to maximize profits regardless of what it may do to the players. He is not in the game, and he has no idea what it is like to physically be out on the field, but that doesn't matter to Jerry.

Way back in a 2014 article by ESPN, he also mentions how "the name of the Redskins should remain the same out of respect." We saw how that failed to have an impact on any changes in the NFL. Polite with good manners? Respectful? I think not.

4. He Won't Help with the Dishes

Do we think the good ol' boy who acquired his money through oil and gas stocks/real estate investments has rolled up his sleeves and done any dishes lately? Of course not. He has the most valued franchise in American sports history.

He's a white-collar man and, for the majority of the last decades, has been held in such high esteem with the combination of money and power that he won't wash your dishes. And never will. You can bet your life on it. The I cook you clean concept was thrown out of Jerry's forethought in the 1980's, my friends.

3. He Makes the Rules, Even in Your House

Jones, partial owner of Legends Hospitality, along with the Steinbrenner family and Sixth Street Partners as majority partners. This company manages several stadiums across the United States, including service areas such as food and beverage, facilities maintenance, design work, live entertainment, merchandise, and more. From minor leagues to majors, Legends Hospitality is an umbrella of catering to every need of any venue it manages.

Jones, as a part of Legends Hospitality, officially as of 8/6/2024, will be forced to pay 3.5 Million dollars to the DOJ as they faced major criticism for not following the rules of the 2023 merger with ASM Global. By not keeping things separate until a certain date and lacking the patience for the paperwork to process properly, his company was fined. Chump change to Jerry. It's doubtful he learned his lesson. He won't respect your rules if he can't even respect the rules of the DOJ.

2. He Will Disappoint You

Can we talk about early exits in the Cowboys playoff history? Just in case there are several Cowboys fans reading this article, let's keep it short and go back to January 2024. The Green Bay Packers surprised the Dallas Cowboys in a final score of 48-32 at home. It was a devastating loss to the Dallas fans and to Jones himself.

The Cowboys have entered the playoffs 13 times but have failed to make it to the National Football Conference game. What is he doing about it? Let us just say he was invited over to Sunday Dinner. He seems like the type of guy who shows up empty-handed and then leaves early without a 'thank you.'

1. He Might Have Integrity Issues

In the case of Alexandra Davis vs. Jerry Jones, he and Ms. Davis had a settlement agreement that became public. In this case, it was related to a non-business relationship. Granted, no proof has come forward on the situation. But it does raise questions about his integrity.

If you make your own rules due to money and power, you will continue to do so. If you think that writing checks to the 'right' people will earn you respect in the community, you are wrong. It is about the person behind the face in the media. It is about the actions one takes on a day-to-day basis that make up the whole part of a man.
