Pokemon TCG Series Five Prize Pack Breakdown

User-posted content
The series five Pokemon TCG prize packs were revealed, along with a set list full of new prize pack stamped cards including some foil ones. Among those on the list are the first ace spec prize pack stamped cards. For those who don’t know, these packs are given out at official Pokemon tournaments, like challenges or league cups.
Each pack contains six cards and should be given out at local events at Play! Pokemon-sanctioned stores. If you don't know where one is, Pokemon has a store locator based on your zip code or city.
These packs cannot be bought at retailers and shops are not supposed to sell them. Each card comes with a Play Pokemon stamp in the lower right or left of the card art and are legal for play. These should be out next week or soon after that.
Of the over 100 cards in the set, there are sure to be a few more sought after than others, including the prize pack debuts of Iron Hands EX, Raging Bolt EX, Prime Catcher, Hero’s Cape, Maximum Belt, Mew EX, Earthen Vessel and more.
Buddy-Buddy Poffin is also in the set but has a stamped version which was given out in June at league stores during the PTCG offseason. According to the set list, the only ones of those which is not supposed to have a foil version are Buddy-Buddy Poffin and Earthen Vessel.
Of course, the playable cards will be the more sought-after ones in the set generally, but there are a few staple cards getting prize pack stamped. Iono, Arven, Super Rod, Nest Ball, Rare Candy, Counter Catcher, Jet Energy and more will have stamped versions.
With the prices price of Arven sitting at around 2 dollars for the previous stamped version and around two dollars for the uncommon from Obsidian Flames, and the only prior non-hyper rare promoting of Earthen Vessel sitting at a little over $3, this could help prices come down a slight but, but only time will tell.
Other Cool Cards
Also included in series five will be two Professor’s Research cards, one featuring Professor Sada and one featuring Professor Turo. There will also be a new Charizard EX, Chien-Pao EX, another Boss’s Orders - babe as a standard and a foil - along with stamped energies available in both. Technical Machine: Evolution and Technical Machine: Devolution will also be available in both versions.
Ancient Booster Energy Capsule, Future Booster Energy Capsule, Explorer's Guidance, Baxcalibur, Jiarchi, Roaring Moon, and Roaring Moon EX are also included in the set.
