Los Angeles Dodgers’ Mookie Betts Successful Return

Los Angeles Dodgers Shortstop Mookie Betts picked up right where he left off tonight on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers. Betts has been sidelined since June 16 when he was hit by a pitch that fractured his left hand. He was activated from the IL before tonight's game and hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the third inning. He added an RBI single in the top of the seventh. Betts went 2-of-4 tonight with three RBI as Los Angeles defeated Milwaukee 5-2. Betts is hitting .307 this season with 11 home runs and 43 RBI.

Starting Pitcher Clayton Kershaw needed no help tonight from his offense as he turned in a masterful start. He surrendered one earned run over 5.2 innings of work while punching out six.
