Two teams will be drafted during a charity gala dinner on August 23.

Goran Dragic's farewell game is expected to be a star-studded affair but unfortunately without one NBA star. Jimmy Butler, also known as "Jimmy Buckets," was scheduled to appear in the game, but reportedly had to cancel due to a commitment in China.

Butler, 34, has been a member of the Miami Heat since 2019. He previously played for the Chicago Bulls from 2011 to 2017, the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2017 to 2018, and the Philadelphia 76ers from 2018 to 2019. He was selected by the Bulls with the 30th overall pick in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft out of Marquette and Tyler JC.

Goran Dragic is a Slovenian basketball legend, both in Europe and North America. In 2017, Dragic led the Slovenian men's basketball team to its first FIBA EuroBasket title, while earning the FIBA EuroBasket MVP honors. In 2018, Dragic was named to his first NBA All-Star Game as a member of the Miami Heat.

Dragic began his NBA career in 2008. He was originally selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the 45th overall pick in the second round of the 2008 NBA Draft. The Spurs traded his rights to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for cash considerations, along with the draft rights to the 48th overall pick, Malik Hairston, that night. He scored a then-career-high 32 points, and hit six of seven three-pointers, for the Suns in a losing effort to the Utah Jazz on January 25, 2010.
