The San Francisco Giants are playing the Chicago White Sox in the second game of a three-game series.

Last night, the White Sox went up early in the top of the 5th with a Luis Robert Jr. RBI Single. The Giants immediately answered with 3 in the bottom of the 5th, which started with Giants Catcher Curt Casali getting an RBI single.

Giants Starter Kyle Harrison had a solid start, 5K's, 5 hits allowed with 6 strong innings and a W, while Jordan Hicks closed the game out in the 9th for a 5-3 Giants win.

Here are a few of the players we are heavily leaning on in this game. These players are in a good spot to have a solid performance and a favorable matchup.

OF Luis Robert Jr ($4.3k on DraftKings - $3.3k on Fanduel)

Luis Robert has been heating up recently after a injury filled and not so good 2024 season. Robert has a hit in 3 of his last 4 games, and two games including yesterday vs San Francisco with 3+ hits, with 18 DKFPTS yesterday and 21.7 FDFPTS.

Another Lefty on the mound like Kyle Harrison yesterday there should be potential for Robert to have another big game.

SP Davis Martin ($6.5k DraftKings - 7.3k Fanduel)

Davis Martin has been solid for a bad White Sox team, the Giants which entered Monday batting an MLB-low .164 with a .489 OPS with runners in scoring position since July 30.

Martin has gone 6 and 5 innings respectively his last two starts in a good pitching park as well with 16.55 DKFPTS and 29 5 FDFPTS, he allowed 1 run in 5 innings vs the star studded New York Yankees, with 5K's I expect Martin to pitch well again tonight.

OF Mike Yastrzemski ($3.3k DraftKings - $2.7k Fanduel)

Mike Yastrzemski has been struggling recently, he doesn't have a hit in his last 3 games (he started 2 of them) only 1 walk as well and Davis Martin has been good recently. It wouldn't shock me to see Yastrzemski on the bench, but vs righty he will probably be in the lineup again hoping he will break out of his slump.

OF Andrew Benintendi ($3k DraftKings - $2.7k Fanduel)

Andrew Benintendi was not in the lineup last night vs a Lefty, but I expect him to be back in it tonight and I'd not select him. Benintendi has not had an extra base hit in 4 games which came vs the Yankees and he had 0 points in both FDFPTS and DKFPTS with only 1 AB which he didn't get on base.

SP Robbie Ray ($8.6K on DraftKings - $9.7k on Fanduel)

Robbie Ray has struggled recently for the Giants, so much so he didn't even make it out of the first inning last start at home vs the Atlanta Braves, he had -8.1 DraftKings Fantasy Points last start and -7 Fanduel, in his two starts before then he had only allowed two runs, vs the Tigers and Reds.

At home vs the worst team in the MLB is absolutely a spot I expect Robbie Ray to bounceback in, the Giants are in must win territory so I'd be very surprised to see Ray not pitch good after a disaster of an outing vs Atlanta.

Yesterday Corey Julks had 2 AB's vs the Giants and he had 0 hits and he struck out in both of his At Bats. Julks has only had 2 AB's in his last 3 games, which he's recorded 0 hits in those games. Julks has also not had an XBH in forever, with limited AB's recently, Julks is batting .221, with 5 stolen bases this season, 3 home runs, amd 9 RBI's.

Conclusion

I expect this game to be pretty low scoring once again, the White Sox are not a good hitting team and have a pretty good starter on the mound, Robbie Ray let up 5 runs last game but should bounce back with a desperate SF team who's 3.5 games down from the Atlanta Braves for the 3rd Wild Card spot.
