Carr is known for his great play with TEs, such as Darren Waller, so Johnson could greatly benefit from that as well.

Schematically speaking, Johnson can be used in various ways, he can line up either from the slot or play out wide, he is talented with route running, physical and has very safe hands. This could translate into Johnson getting plenty of opportunities to shine and produce.

In 2023, he had some solid performances, finishing with 368 yards and 4TDs. He is currently returning from offseason surgery. For 2024, With Derek Carr once again under center, there’s reason to believe that Johnson’s numbers could vastly improve.
