Green Bay Packers Jordan Love Injured; Status Unknown

Green Bay Packers fans may not sleep well tonight. Not only did the team lose a sloppy week 1 game, but quarterback Jordan Love was injured in one of the game’s final plays. The replays don’t look great, but he was able to walk off the field under his own power, albeit with help from trainers. At this point, his status is unknown.

Jordan Love was having issues with calf cramps throughout the night. Many players have dealt with conditioning issues, and the heat in Brazil hasn’t helped either. The Packers quarterback was hit, and his lower leg was caught under an Eagles defender. There was a slight twist and it caused Love to miss the last two plays of the game.

Speculations have been going wild on the internet. It could be his knee, calf, or ankle. The severity of the injury is unknown and could be anything from minor to season-ending. In his postgame press conference, head coach Matt LaFleur simply said, “I don’t know” when asked about the injury.

Hoping For Good News

The Green Bay Packers came into the season with high hopes. Many analysts had this team going deep into the playoffs. If Love misses some time, those aspirations take a huge hit. There is some good news. If it is a minor injury that needs rest, the Packers have an extra day or two before they play again.
