Towanda, Pa. — State police in Towanda found methamphetamine, marijuana, and a gun inside a vehicle being driven by a Rome woman.

Ashley Sarah Richlin, 38, was pulled over for window tint on July 5 on Hospital Drive in Towanda, Trooper Damon Barhight said. Richlin also allegedly did not signal while turning left into the CVS parking lot, Barhight added.

The smell of marijuana was noticeable when Barhight spoke with Richlin, according to the complaint. Richlin’s eyes were reportedly bloodshot and glassy and she was ordered out of the vehicle.

During a roadside interview, Richlin claimed to have a blunt in the car, Barhight wrote. She admitted she didn't have a medical marijuana card, according to charges. Richlin denied requests to search the vehicle, Barhight said. The vehicle was then towed to the Towanda barracks.

During a search two days after the stop, investigators found methamphetamine and marijuana, according to the complaint. They also found a metal grinder, rolling papers, bulk amounts of plastic bags, a digital scale, pipes, and lock boxes, Barhight wrote. A loaded Taurus 9mm pistol was found in the top of the vehicle's dashboard, Barhight added.

Richlin is being charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, improper sun screening, improper signal, and driving an unregistered vehicle. Richlin is being held on $100,000 monetary bail.

Richlin is scheduled to appear before Judge Todd Carr at the end of July for a preliminary hearing.
