The Greensboro-based company UpStream Care will lay off approximately 66 workers due to a contract dispute.

According to a WARN notice, in May, Triad Healthcare Network (THN) notified UpStream Care that it would terminate their contract unless a specific amount of money was paid. UpStream Care responded that the amount was never owed. Despite efforts to salvage the relationship, the contract was ended on June 10.

UpStream Care has been notifying affected employees and will continue to do so throughout September.

    WARN Notice Details:

    • County: Guilford
    • WARN Number: 202400042
    • Date of Notice: 7/26/2024
    • Date Received by NC: 7/26/2024
    • Effective Date: 9/15/2024
    • Company: UpStream Care Company
    • Type: Layoff
    • Layoff Type: Permanent
    • Number Affected: 66
    • Location: 1100 Revolution Mill Drive, Greensboro

The layoffs are a result of the terminated contract with Triad Healthcare Network, impacting the company's operations and workforce.
