SOLEDAD — The South Valley Stealth 16-and-under girls’ softball team placed first at the 18-and-under Top Gun Softball Tournament last weekend at Livermore. The Stealth started off the tournament with a 1-2 record last Saturday but rallied to claim the Silver Division Championship with three straight wins on Sunday.

2023-24 Women’s Tennis Recap
Stockton Women's Tennis went 7-4 during the 2023-24 season that was comprised of two matches and two tournaments in the fall followed by nine matches in the spring. The Ospreys went 3-2 in conference play and advanced to the NJAC championship match in head coach Harry Silverstein's 10th year at the helm.

Antioch, CA — Caden Sarale of Stockton won the 30 lap BCRA Midgets Main Event Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. The race was sponsored by Delta Scrap and Salvage and presented by Ken Graundstadt. It was the second win of the season for Sarale, who is the current point leader.
Biedermann sibling trio selected to try out for US National Water Polo Team
Athletes across San Joaquin County have been working for their shot at representing the USA on one of the biggest stages of water polo. One Ripon family got their shot. Three siblings and student-athletes from Ripon High School were invited to try out for the National Team Water Polo in Brody, Reyna and Emery Biedermann. Brody took it a step further landing a spot on the United States Senior National Championships roster and will compete from now until the 2027 World Junior Championship.
Ports Score Early, Fend Off Giants Late Push
SAN JOSE, Calif. — The Ports scored in each of the first five innings on Tuesday night at Excite Ballpark, including two runs in the fourth. Though errors let the Giants back into the game in the late innings, Stockton ultimately won game two of the series 8-5. The Ports played some of the their best baseball of the season in the first half of the game, which is perhaps why they believed they could clean up the sloppy second half at some point and hang on for the victory, even getting some breathing room in the ninth.
