ORANGE, Va. – Virginia State Police (VSP) are investigating a two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Charlottesville man Wednesday. According to a media release issued by VSP Sergeant Brent W. Coffey, the crash occurred on Spotswood Trail (Route 33) at Albano Road (Route 657) on December 6.
Virginia Governor Glenn Younkin Donates Nearly $44k to Service Dog Program
RICHMOND, Va. – Governor Glenn Youngkin recently donated a portion of his salary to an organization that pairs service dogs with people, to promote independent living. In a December 1 media release, the office of the governor announced that Mr. and Mrs. Younkin donated $43,750 to Canine Companions, an organization that provides service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities. The organization also provides facility dogs to professionals working in healthcare, criminal justice and educational settings. All dogs and all follow-up services are provided at no cost to clients.
