Franklin College professor attends World War II seminar
FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin College Associate Professor of History, Lourdes Hurtado, Ph.D., attended the Faculty Seminar on World War II History in late June. Chosen through a competitive application process, Hurtado was among approximately 20 distinguished participants invited by the Jenny Craig Institute for the Study of War and Democracy.
IU Columbus schedules walk-in sessions for new, prospective students
COLUMBUS, Ind. – Indiana University Columbus will host walk-in hours next week, July 22-26, for all new and prospective students to meet with admissions counselors. “This week is about meeting students where they are — if they’re admitted for the fall and need help with their enrollment checklist; if they’re a high school junior/senior planning ahead; if they’re a college student thinking about transferring; or if they’re a working adult considering returning to college,” explained Jayne Morris, IU Columbus Assistant Director of Enrollment Management.
BCSC updates progress on ‘Envision 2030’ project
COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) has provided a video update on Envision 2030, a long-range modernization plan in its early stages. All improvement projects are tax-rate neutral, allowing BCSC to provide up to $306 million worth of upgrades to several schools without negatively impacting the community’s tax rate.
