In a move that underscores the challenges of the Manhattan real estate market, chart-topping songwriter Benny Blanco has reduced the price of his luxurious Chelsea loft by $250,000. The 2,154-square-foot loft, initially listed at $3.995 million, now sits at $3.75 million after three months on the market without a buyer.

Blanco, known for hits with artists like Ed Sheeran and Selena Gomez, purchased the loft in 2011 for $3.445 million and invested in a complete renovation, transforming it into a contemporary, art-filled haven.

The loft, located in the historic Chelsea Mercantile building, features a dramatic foyer, a sunlit living area with 11-foot ceilings, and an all-white open kitchen equipped with top-of-the-line appliances. The primary bedroom offers a custom walk-in closet and a striking black-and-walnut bathroom. The building itself, a former mail-order house from 1908, now boasts upscale amenities, including a 10,000-square-foot landscaped roof deck and a 24-hour concierge service.

Blanco's price cut reflects his desire to sell the property, despite the reduced potential profit after the significant renovations. The Chelsea neighborhood, known for its art galleries, trendy restaurants, and proximity to the High Line park, continues to be one of New York's most sought-after locations.
