OTW By Vans and Max Fish: Checkered Past, NYC Photos

If Nathan Fielder had done a cooler version of The Rehearsal and had chosen seminal artist/skater bar Max Fish, it would have looked something like last night in SoHo.

Once inside, there was a musical set up with the tease of "special musical guest" floating through the air. There was a replica of the classic front doors that adorned Ludlow Street, then an amazing time capsule of a photo wall just beyond that.

Around the corner was a big replica of Max Fish's classicly tagged up and filthy bathroom stalls. People wasted no time in tagging up the mirror and the wall. Upstairs they had the original pool table! RB Umali ran it for most of the night as you'd expect. They also had the wavy bar upstairs, the classic color pallette on the wall, and of course the Julio Iglesias lightbox.

Soon enough, the special musical guest took to the stage: TV on the Radio! These guys haven't played in at least ten years, so it was a treat for everyone lucky enough to be in attendance.

The night wore on with free burgers, popcorn, and bevs and eventually we all spilled out into a perfect New York night—it did feel like we were back at the Fish. Well done Vans!
