The Hat is certainly one of those places. With over ten locations throughout southern California, they've become famous for their comfort foods that locals have loved since 1951 when they first opened.

Today, The Hat is a reliable fast-food joint that's got a lot of charm. From chili fries to onion rings, cheeseburgers, and hot dogs, The Hat will take you back to simpler times with its no-fuss interior of old wooden booths and a straightforward menu that offers nothing but the classics.

The real star of the show here however is the massive pastrami sandwich. Loaded with a huge portion of fresh in-house made pastrami, these sandwiches are so large they don't even fit on the plate.

True pastrami lovers can also rejoice in the fact that you can add a heaping pile of pastrami to their chili cheese fries or burgers as well.

Offered at just $11.99, this huge sandwich can easily be spilt into two different meals making it well worth the price.

The Hat is open for both lunch and dinner every day of the week from 10 am until 11 pm. To learn more and see a full list of locations, be sure to check out The Hat's official website here.
