Everyone in North Carolina Should Visit This Massive Roadside Farmers’ Market

There are several amazing farmers' markets to explore throughout North Carolina, but, there are definitely some that truly go above and beyond.

One of the largest indoor and outdoor farmers' markets in NC can be found in Asheville and it is an absolute must-visit. Keep reading to learn more.

Known as the Western North Carolina Farmers Market, this massive collection of nearly 200 vendors spans 36 acres and is full of delicious eats and one-of-a-kind crafts.

There are five open truck sheds as well as several other buildings to wander through and explore here. Expect an endless colorful sea of fresh veggies, fruits, and plants.

In addition to fresh local produce, you will also find booths featuring jams, honey, spices, and plenty of delicious baked goods like pies, cakes, cookies, and freshly baked bread.

Other highlights include unique gifts and home items like soaps, hand-woven baskets, decorative wood signs, candles, and much more. This farmers' market is truly a shopping destination.

If you get hungry while browsing, there is also an on-site restaurant known as the Moose Cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their menu offers a variety of southern favorites from biscuits and gravy to Virginia honey-baked ham.

The market is open every day of the week, year-round. From April until October, the hours are 8 am until 6 pm, and from November until March the market is open from 8 am until 5 pm Admission and parking are always free.
