NOAA recommends Jacksonville, Cape Fear project funding
Recommendations for the second round of funding through the Transformational Habitat Restoration and Coastal Resilience grant program include two projects in North Carolina. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced Thursday the 32 projects it recommends to receive nearly $220 million under the bipartisan infrastructure law passed in 2021 and the Democratic Party’s anti-inflation measure passed in 2022.

3 arrested in murder of missing person out of Scotland Co.
SCOTLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WPDE) — A joint investigation involving the Scotland County Sheriff's Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI) has led to the arrests of three people from Scotland County for the 2021 murder of Brandon Carl Wayne McDonald, according to Captain Randy Dover with the Scotland County Sheriff's Office.
