Community Programs for September 2024 at the Princeton Public Library
The Princeton Public Library announces a series of community programs for September. Highlights include a book club discussion on ‘The Frozen River’ on September 12th, a storytelling workshop with Dr. Ada Cheng on September 19th, and a blood drive on September 24th. Additional events include a painting class on September 25th and the monthly Writer’s Club meeting on September 27th. DOYLESTOWN, PA—Foundations Community Partnership has announced the winners of its 2024 Partnership in Education Scholarships. The scholarships go to students from the 19 public high schools in Bucks County. Man sentenced for raping 15-year-old in Giant grocery store parking lot
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Sellersville man was sentenced to 12.5-25 years in state prison for raping a 15-year-old girl in a Giant grocery store parking lot, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office announced Monday.Miguel Angel Sanchez, 33, pleaded no contest in May to multiple counts of rape, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, trafficking individuals and other related crimes, according to the DA's Office. Under this plea, the 33-year-old acknowledged the evidence provided against him was enough to convict him at a trial, officials said.Sanchez's sentencing follows an investigation that began on Oct. 24, 2023. CAMDEN – A man from Burlington City in Burlington County has been found guilty and sentenced in the first-degree murder of Camden resident Takwail Bailey, 29, in 2021. Lesure Funari, 25, was sentenced in Camden County Superior Court last Friday to 60 years in prison.
