SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Authorities have arrested and charged a Bridgeton man in connection to a fatal accident on Route 1 in April, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. Joseph Vega, age 43, was arrested by authorities in Georgia for causing the accident which resulted in the death of three people. The crash occurred on Friday, April 12. Monmouth County DWI Task Force adding checkpoint, more patrols over Fourth of July weekend
WALL - A drunken driving checkpoint will be set up on Route 138 on Friday night to screen motorists for their sobriety, according to the Monmouth County DWI Task Force. All westbound motor vehicles on the state highway will be diverted onto Maxwell Drive from 10 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.
