One injured in Triana shooting, MCSO investigating

TRIANA, Ala. (WHNT) – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one injured in Triana.

According to a post by the sheriff’s office, the shooting took place in the 100 block of Swancott Road at around 5 p.m. Deputies were sent to the scene, and the area is now secured.

MCSO said one person was shot and has been taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. The status of the victim is currently unknown.

Huntsville Police confirmed officers were assisting in the search for a possible suspect off Zierdt Road.

Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigators and detectives are now investigating to figure out what happened. MCSO says it will provide updates when more information becomes available, and at this time, nothing more is available.
