Steelers unveil Super Bowl IX-themed spirits as part of 50th anniversary

Pittsburgh Steelers-themed spirits will be available starting this football season through Steelers Stillhouse, a partnership between the Steelers and three Pennsylvania distilleries.

Four limited-edition spirits that commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the team’s Super Bowl IX victory after the 1974 season will be available annually:

• Boyd & Blair Steel Curtain Vodka
• Boyd & Blair Steel Curtain Rum
• Hidden Still Spirits Limited Edition Straight Bourbon Whiskey
• Noire 74 Gin

The Noire 74 Gin is from Pittsburgh’s first Black-owned distilling company, Noire Distillery. It was founded on Juneteenth in 2022.

Boyd & Blair is a family-run distillery based in Pittsburgh known for its potato vodka, the Steelers said, and Hidden Still Spirits began in 2014 in Lebanon, Pa., and now operates out of Hershey. Hidden Still Spirits is the largest producer of Pennsylvania craft straight bourbon whiskey.

The four spirits will be available at Acrisure Stadium on home gamedays at six concession locations — 109, 128, 137, 507, 527 and 530.

And for those who aren’t able to attend games, the spirits can be purchased directly through the distillers’ online sites and in person at their distilleries, the Steelers said. The Boyd & Blair and Hidden Still Spirits selections can also be purchased at the store Pennsylvania Libations.

Each month, the first 150 customers who spend at least $100 on spirits through one of the individual distillers online will receive a free, limited-edition rocks glass in their shipment while supplies last.

There will be Stillhouse Saturday pop-ups throughout this fall’s football season — twice a month on Saturdays — where fans can purchase the commemorative bottles as well outside of select Giant Eagle and Giant Eagle Market District locations. The first one will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 7 at the Shaler Giant Eagle.

The first 100 customers who purchase at least $100 worth of Stillhouse products at the pop-ups will receive a free, limited-edition rocks glass. Other dates and times can be found on the Stillhouse Saturdays calendar online.

Five rocks glasses will be available for free — featuring a tribute to Super Bowl IX — and a new one will be available each month, the Steelers said.

In addition to the four spirits, both Boyd & Blair and Hidden Still Spirits are will offer ready-to-drink cocktails. The flavors include:
