The belief of Vine Church in Troy is that all families should have access to essentials when bringing new life into the world.

To put legs to the belief, Vine Church will cohost a community-wide baby shower with Sav-a-Life, Troy on April 21.

“We are so proud to have Sav-a-Life Troy in our community doing the great work they do,” said Amanda Johnson, event coordinator. “Our goal is to partner with local churches to support expectant mothers and mothers with children under the age of three in Pike County. We plan to provide gifts, giveaways, baby clothes, food, resources and more.”

Johnson said, by collaborating with Sav-a-Life Troy, Vine Church seeks to meet the needs of families of families in the area served.”

“We are praying for at least 200 expecting, young mothers to be at this event,” Johnson said. “Our goal is to provide each mother in attendance with a pack of wipes, diapers, baby toiletries, baby boutique items and options for larger giveaways.”

Johnson said some churches are doing a diaper drives and others are discussing donations to purchase larger items including car seats, stroller and pack-n-plays.
