Alcohol Banned at These Lake Tahoe Hotspots During Fourth of July Weekend
Planning to celebrate the Fourth of July with a beer on the beach at Lake Tahoe? Be prepared for some restrictions. Alcohol is banned at three of Lake Tahoe’s most popular beaches for the holiday. Officials have prohibited alcohol at Nevada Beach and Zephyr Cove Resort on July Fourth. Additionally, public consumption is banned at Chambers Landing in Tahoma for the entire holiday weekend, from July 3-7.
TMFR Chief Charles Moore to Retire When Current Contract Ends
Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue Chief Charles Moore has announced that he will retire when his current contract ends. He made the announcement during Tuesday's Board of Fire Commissioners meeting. Chief Moore says they'll be working on a transition plan for the fire district's leadership in the next few months.
